Installing The Castle 777 Door Gasket
The Castle 777 Autoclave Is A Classic And If You Are Fortunate Enough To Own One, You Have A Prized Possession!
How To Replace The Castle 777 Door Gasket
For Easy Installation Of The Door Gasket, Just Follow These Instructions
Remove the Old Gasket
Clean The Door Channel & Make Sure It Is Clear Of Any Foreign Matter Or Debris, And the edge of the lip is not dented or marred.
Make Sure Door Channel Is Clean Before Proceeding
Place New Door Gasket In Position By Squeezing It In As Tight As Possible With Your Fingers
Make Sure Gasket Is Evenly Distributed All Around Opening
Prepare Atuoclave For Regular Operation (Pour In Water)
Close Door Carefully, Making Sure Gasket Remains In Place
Turn the Autoclave On and Run It Up To 15 psi. The Gasket Should Squeeze Into Place At This Pressure
Allow The Unit To Run For 15 Minutes at 15 psi. Then Turn It Off & Vent Steam
After The Unit Has Cooled Down, Inspect The Door Gasket To Be Sure It Is Equally Inserted At All Places
If The Gasket Can Be Rolled Out By Rubbing Your Thumb From Front To Back Over The Lip Of The Door, It Is Not Properly Placed
If The Placement Is Not Proper, Repeat Operation Of The Autoclave For A Second Cycle
Note:
After Installing The New Castle 777 Door Gasket, The Door May Leak At Low Pressure for Several Cycles Until It Seats Itself.
