If Chair will not operate when any of the six UP or when Down when functions or Auto-Return function is selected or When Foot Switch is depressed,
motor pump does not run and cylinder solenoid(s) do not energize (no audible click): |
Power cord is not plugged into wall outlet, or power cord is not plugged into connector receptacle on chair on export models |
Make sure power cord is plugged in |
Plug power cord into facility outlet and/or connector receptacle on chair |
|
Outlet Circuit Breaker providing power to chair has tripped |
Check Outlet Circuit Breaker |
Correct the problem & Reset the Circuit Breaker |
|
Fuses in AC connector receptacle is blown (on export models only) |
Perform Continuity Test on Fuses |
Replace fuses |
|
Wire connections are loose |
Check wiring connections from power cord to terminal block |
Clean dirty connections. Repair or replace loose or damaged connections |
|
Isolation Transformer is malfunctioning (export units only) |
Check input and output voltage of Isolation Transformer |
If Isolation Transformer is receiving the proper input voltage but is not supplying 115VAC output, replace Isolation Transformer |
When any Foot Switch/Switch is depressed, motor pump does not run, but Cylinder Solenoids energize (audible click) |
Capacitors are blown (Motor Pump may be humming) |
Replace suspect Capacitors with known working Capacitors |
Replace Faulty Capacitor. Click Here |
|
Motor Thermal Overload switch is activated because Motor Pump overheated |
Wait 15 to 20 minutes |
Allow Motor Pump to cool and then try to operate chair. If Motor Pump does not run now, replace the motor pump |
|
Motor Pump is burned out |
|
Replace Motor Pump |
|
Wire connections are loose |
Check wiring connections from power cord to terminal block |
Clean dirty connections. Repair or replace loose or damaged connections |
When any Foot Switch/switch is depressed, Motor Pump runs but chair does not move |
Time Delay is malfunctioning |
Use a jumper wire to bypass the Time Delay. If chair moves, Time Delay is malfunctioning
Put a multimeter in line with Time Delay, and run each cylinder one at a time |
A Multimeter reading greater than 1.2 amps indicates a faulty cylinder has caused relay to fail. Replace both the Cylinder &
the Time Delay Part #MIR017-6445
For available cylinders, Click Here
If multimeter reading is less than 1.2 amps, replace the Time Delay only Part #MIR017-6445 |
When any Foot Switch/Switch is depressed, Motor Pump runs and solenoid can be heard energizing |
Hydraulic System is low on Hydraulic Fluid |
Check oil level in reservoir |
Add Hydraulic Fluid Part #RPF384-6454 to reservoir as needed |
When any Foot Switch/Switch is depressed, Motor Pump hums, but does not run |
Capacitor(s) is blown
Motor Pump is locked up or burned out |
Replace suspect Capacitor with known working capacitor(s)
Replace suspect Motor Pump with known working Motor Pump |
Replace defective Capacitor(s)with Part #MIC020-6429
Replace defective motor pump |
