It can be very frustrating trying to take a solenoid valve apart using a Spanner Nut Tool by itself. If the tool is not kept perfectly level when trying to use it, it will shear off the pins almost every time This led us to look for another way to remove the stem in the valves, and we have come up with one. First, before starting the procedure, you will need to take the nut off the top of the solenoid, and take it to a hardware store, Lowes, Home Depot, etc. to match it. All you need to buy is one, and they are less than a dollar apiece Tip: Once you have broke the stem free, you can then unscrew it the rest of the way by hand We would also appreciate your input on the video itself along with your success in removing the spanner nut as illustrated Click Here to Watch
